Raptors have ‘generated buzz’ in Kawhi Leonard trade market

USA Basketball is Going to Get Awkward Gregg Popovich is Coaching Kawhi Leonard is on the Roster

Kawhi Leonard's hive-mind of his uncle's friends decided that the two-way superstar would be playing in Los Angeles next season, and agreed that Kawhi wouldn't set foot on the court for another team.

The Action Network released their odds after the 2018 NBA Finals and the Raptors were considered huge longshots (2.94 percent implied probability) to land Leonard this offseason.

The team is in talks with San Antonio to acquire the two-time all-star via a trade.

The Kawhi Leonard trade rumors have simmered down a bit the past week or so since the top National Basketball Association free agents signed new deals.

Government Will Miss Deadline To Reunify Young Children With Parents
They will need more time to collect DNA samples or other evidence from parents who have been released from government custody. Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar said Thursday there were "under 3,000" children separated from their parents.

Disgruntled San Antonio Spurs star Kawhi Leonard's preference is a move to Los Angeles; however, he would only move to the Eastern Conference if it was for the Philadelphia 76ers. The Spurs reportedly were asking for a king's ransom from the Lakers, with potential packages including L.A.'s top young players Kyle Kuzma and Brandon Ingram and a plethora of draft picks, and the Spurs don't appear willing to budge or negotiate much.

So the Sixers will have to decide if they want to part with two more first-round picks or see if the Spurs will back off those demands. It's expanded a surprisingly small list of potential trade destinations to include possible front-runner Philadelphia, as well as a new team that could be entering the mix.

According to the Washington Post's Tim Bontemps, things haven't changed much as the teams expected to be in the running for Leonard's services are still mentioned in many reports, with the 76ers, in particular, remaining among the favorites, partly due to the fact that their head coach, Brett Brown, was once an assistant for Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich. While shipping out DeRozan or Lowry in addition to other pieces likely would get a deal done, it would also leave Toronto in a jam, as Leonard wouldn't have a strong enough supporting cast to compete for an Eastern Conference title. Leonard played in only nine games in 2017-18, scoring 16.2 points a night, well below his average of 25.5 in 2016-17.
