The role was previously played by Wyatt Oleff (on the right in the photo below) in It: Chapter 1, and the young actor is expected to return alongside his young co-stars in some capacity. James will join Hollywood heavyweight Jessica Chastain (Beverly) and, hopefully, James McAvoy (Bill) and Bill Hader (Ritchie) who are both in talks to appear in the film.

Bean ("Transformers: The Last Knight") will play the older version of Stanley, while Ransome ("The Wire", "The First") will be Eddie.

Meanwhile, Consequence of Sound shared a since-deleted tweet from actor James Ransone (top picture, right), which confirmed that he is set to play Eddie Kaspbrak.

"It: Chapter Two" has cast James Ransone ("Tangerine", "Sinister") as the adult version of Eddie Kaspbrak.

Bill was cast as Richie Tozier, Bill's foul-mouthed, troublesome best friend, originally played by Finn Wolfhard.

Andy Muschietti and Gary Dauberman are back as director and screenwriter, while Barbara Muschietti, Dan Lin and Roy Lee will be producing the film.

While Chastain, Hader and McAvoy are all relatively big names, Ransone and Bean less well-known.

The flick will take the story further where the evil clown Pennywise returns 27 years later to torment the grown-up members of the Losers' Club.

The roles left to be filled include Mike Hanlon, the only member of the club to stay in Derry after graduating high school, and Ben Hanscom, the poetic kid who sees Pennywise in the Derry library. After all, the first film changed many details from King's novel.

"Chapter Two" is scheduled to begin production in July and is set to be released in theatres by Warner Bros on September 6, 2019.
