Son Shines As Tottenham Move To Third

Son Heung-min of Tottenham scores his team's fifth goal of the game during The Emirates FA Cup Fifth Round Replay match between Tottenham Hotspur and Rochdale

Tottenham star Heung-min Son spoke to reporters in the aftermath of his side's comfortable 2-0 win over Huddersfield Town at Wembley yesterday, and admitted that he and his teammates were sad because they did not score more goals, as quoted by the club's official website.

Son Heung-Min struck twice as Tottenham Hotspur's challenge for Champions League football next season continued unabated with a routine 2-0 win over Huddersfield at Wembley on Saturday.

Spurs dominated the first half, but Huddersfield actually threatened inside the opening 60 seconds at Wembley and Serge Aurier was forced to make a crucial interception before Tottenham quickly got into their stride.

Son was in a class of his own all afternoon and it was little surprise he showed more poise than his teammates in front of goal to finally open the scoring 27 minutes in.

Spurs, who did not win in their first three league games there, are fourth, a point behind United and five ahead of fifth-placed Chelsea, who visit runaway leaders Manchester City on Sunday. The manager has to choose 11 players but there are many more.

White House: Talks with North Korea must lead to ending nuclear program
Pyongyang mounted a charm offensive during the Games, sending athletes, cheerleaders and performers. She met Moon on Friday as part of a weekend trip leading the US delegation to the closing ceremony.

For Huddersfield Town, David Wagner keeps the same XI following impressive back-to-back victories over relegation rivals Bournemouth and West Brom respectively.

Another South Korea global, Ki Sung-yueng, gave them the lead, with Mike van der Hoorn, Andy King and Jordan Ayew (from the penalty spot) ensuring a handsome win that takes the Swans above the struggling Hammers and up to 13th in the table.

Carlos Carvalhal's team took advantage to double their lead in the 32nd minute as Mike van der Hoorn was left unmarked to head home from close range. "Our objective was to get the three points and we have that now and we're in a very good position in the table to fight and be involved in the battle for the top four".

"I am so pleased, it is a fantastic run at home", said Spurs manager Pochettino, 46 on Friday. On that occasion, they won 1-0 on aggregate against AC Milan. Tottenham, who drew the away leg 2-2 in Turin, extended their unbeaten run to 17 matches with victory.

Everton captain Ashley Williams was sent off four minutes from the end for a wild swipe at Barnes.
