Rockets beat Boston for 15th straight win

If the Celtics truly stole a win from James Harden and the Rockets when these teams first met at TD Garden back on December 28 earlier this season, you can consider them even after Saturday night's national TV 123-120 Rockets win at Houston's Toyota Center.

The Houston Rockets got some revenge on the Boston Celtics with a 123-120 win at Toyota Center on Saturday. You can only really hope to slow them down.

Nearly two minutes into the second, the Rockets were finally able to get on the board to end the C's 14-0 run, which eventually turned into an 18-2 run and a 40-32 lead for the Celtics with just under 10 minutes to play in the half. "So we have a lot in this locker room".

Fournier and Nikola Vucevic scored 19 points apiece for the Magic, who won for the second straight night at home after snapping a seven-game losing streak Friday. Houston's constantly active defense had no answer for his post-up moves, so he kept attacking whenever he received the ball in close proximity to the basket.

When the two teams met three days after Christmas in Boston, the Rockets dominated the Celtics, putting up 62 points in the first half and holding Boston to 38.

James Harden, Chris Paul and the Houston Rockets needed some late dramatics to extend the franchise's longest win streak in over two decades.

The Rockets (48-13) will look to avenge the early season loss against Boston, which is holding its opponents to less than 100 points per game, second best in the league.

Overall, the bench is averaging 54 points per game since the All-Star break.

Steph Curry is also a threat looking at a win-loss ratio, but the Golden State Warriors are not playing as good as they played last season. Harden had 26 points and ten assists and Ariza had 21.

"Eric Gordon was huge", Houston coach Mike D'Antoni said.

"We're all trying to get better".

Boston took the first meeting this season by rallying from a 26-point deficit for a 99-98 win on December 28.

In the first five minutes of the game, the Celtics knocked down three of their first four three-pointers and would go onto finish the quarter shooting 67 percent from deep.

James Harden was 6-18 from the floor and only 3-12 from downtown, but he had 10 assists and 7 rebounds while hitting 11 of his 13 free throws.

Cavaliers swing man Rodney Hood went three for nine from the floor and 0 for four from three-point range with just six points in 26 minutes of play.

P.J. Tucker set up the Ariza three-pointer with a steal off Terry Rozier before Ariza pilfered Kyrie Irving and dashed for a lay-up with 1min 16sec left for a 117-115 lead.

The Celtics won't make it easy though as they appear to have returned to some good form.

Looking to snap Houston's 14-game winning streak, the Celtics played about as ideal a road game as a team can when going against the best team in the West by jumping out to a two-point edge through 12 minutes, and extending it to eight by halftime. Marcus Smart drew two offensive fouls on James Harden in the final seconds to help the Celtics get the come-from-behind victory.
