Success for US Snowboarders: What You missed in the Olympics Feb. 12

Chloe Kim 17 makes history as youngest to win gold in the women's halfpipe at the Pyeong Chang Winter Olympics

China's Jiayu Liu mounted a challenge to Kim, but it wasn't quite enough, and she won silver with a high score of 89.75 from her three runs.

"I knew if I went home with the gold medal knowing that I could do better, I wasn't going to be very satisfied", Kim said. "Emotionally I don't think I was ready", she admitted. Born in the United States to Korean parents, Kim burst into tears as the enormity of her achievement sunk in. Kim's mom and dad would call her "Ipugi" growing up which means "baby girl dragon" in Korean. When the 17-year-old American snowboarder isn't wrecking her peers in the halfpipe, contorting and twisting and writing up new laws of gravity on the fly, she's doing normal teen stuff, like tweeting about the particulars of her snacking habits, sometimes in the middle of competition.

Third place went to another young American: 21-year-old Arielle Gold, who casually announced afterward that she had separated her shoulder here on the second day of training, much the way she did on a training run in Sochi four years ago that forced her to scratch from the competition.

The inconsistent rumors are already sparking some pretty tasty conspiracy theories (please read this one), but we like to think her first response was the correct one.

For years, Austrian Marcel Hirscher faced the same question: Could he really be the greatest men's skier of all time without an Olympic medal?

"Wish I finished my breakfast sandwich but my stubborn self decided not to and now I'm getting hangry", Kim wrote Tuesday during the halfpipe final. On Saturday, she tweeted about eating churros and how it helped calm her nerves.

And the second thing is: Have a good, fair race. "Neither of those were achievable today". It's the second time in these Olympics that the event was postponed because of weather .

Shannon recognizes that Omarosa's asthma attack was real, but realizes that it doesn't hurt to play it up a little bit. What!? Please go away.' She said , 'What? Omarosa - shockingly! - urged the housemates to grant Keshia's request .

Colts make Reich head coach
Oh, and just so there's no confusion this time around, the Colts actually tweeted out a picture of Reich signing his contract. He rose quickly through the ranks and helped mastermind the Eagles' Super Bowl victory last week over New England.

Shaun White was best in halfpipe qualifying, scoring a 98.5 to edge Australian rival Scotty James for the prime spot in Wednesday's three-run final. "I can one-up myself.' The third run was for me to prove to myself if I did it, and I could go home really happy and excited".

Later, she told reporters simply, "I want my ice cream".

On commenter wrote: "You wanna make me cry?" On her first trip down she listened to "Paparazzi" by Lady Gaga and scored a 93.75, ESPN reports. "This is just what I've imagined". "I thought I had a chance to bring her to the Olympics, so it was wonderful and very lucky that they matched together". To many, she became a star for sharing her thoughts during the process of becoming an Olympic champion in real time with the rest of the world.

"The one thing I learned was just give everything a shot", she said.

Chloe Kim has mentioned in interviews that she often listens to CL's music and dances to it before she competes.

After the flower ceremony, Kim fought through an overwhelming crush of media, coaches and fans to reach her parents for the first time all day.
