Here's a pretty grim omen at the dawn of national signing day: USF's official football Twitter account now is suspended.USF now is working with Twitter to rectify the problem.

On a day when the University of Missouri Football knew Tigers fans would be closely watching its Twitter feed to get a first look at their future stars, their social media team got an unpleasant surprise.

Opposed to years past, USF football had one of its calmest National Signing Days ever Wednesday. "We've got to get to as many schools as we can'".

There's a unusual sense of calm that has replaced the tumult typically associated with this time of year on the college football recruiting calendar. This year's top prospect, the Georgia high school quarterback Trevor Lawrence, already had signed with Clemson, which has made the College Football Playoff the past three years.
